The Outlander is a compact SUV from the Japanese manufacturer Mitsubishi. The first generation was developed jointly with Daimler and is based on the Lancer platform. The second Outlander was developed by Mitsubishi together with Citroen and Peugeot. It was also available in variants from 2007 to 2012 as the Citroen C-Crosser and Peugeot 4007.
Its special feature: a continuously variable CVT automatic transmission. In 2012, number two retired and Mitsubishi presented the third Outlander, a world car in a stylish shell and with plug-in hybrid. In 2016 an extensive facelift took place.
