Maserati Indy Model Cars

The 1968 presented Maserati Indy is based on the 1966 Ghibli, which is very similar. Alfredo Vignale's design of the four-seater coupe was considered just as spectacular, but not quite as harmonious as the Ghibli dress.

But thanks to its better aerodynamics, the 4.2-litre V8 (260 hp) already offered excellent performance. Only the rear rigid axle remained worthy of criticism. From 1972 the Indy received the 4.7- and 4.9-litre engines and, with its 290 and 320 hp respectively, drew on the full power - with a maximum of 165 mph.

About Maserati Indy

The Maserati Indy is more than just a car; it’s an embodiment of passion and style. From the first moment you lay your eyes on this beautiful machine, you'll realize that it's not just about getting from point A to point B, but also about how much pleasure you'll derive from doing so.

The sleek design of the Maserati Indy is exceptional and offers a unique blend of sophistication and beauty. Its bold grille, iconic Trident emblazoned in the centre, elongated bonnet and sharp roofline all add up to create an appearance that will turn heads wherever you go.

But it's not only its looks that make the Maserati Indy such an exciting car; it’s what lies underneath the surface that truly sets this exceptional vehicle apart. With each press of the accelerator pedal, you can feel its raw power surging through your veins as if nothing else matters in the world except for driving this magnificent machine.

The Maserati Indy has been fitted with a robust 4.2-litre V8 engine built by Ferrari. It produces over 290 horsepower and delivers a rich exhaust note making every drive more thrilling than anything you've experienced before. Not only does it excel at speed but also offers smoothness even while cruising down highways or giving full throttle power deliveries – something that is rare among sports cars.

Inside, the cabin of the Maserati Indy reflects meticulous craftsmanship evident upon walking towards this stunning car with plush leather seats, ergonomic controls for optimum comfort whilst cornering or experiencing high-g-force moments leaving one feeling exhilarated throughout any journey.

Owning a Maserati Indy doesn't just provide ownership of another car; it symbolizes prestige and understanding of automobile greatness - befitting choices made by celebrities including Steve McQueen who was said to own two versions himself.

To sum up my passion for this incredible vehicle: Once behind its wheel and navigating tight turns or gracefully maneuvering through city streets, the Maserati Indy reveals a sense of pride, forged by refined aesthetics and performance originating from a shared passion for excellence.
