Fine tuning: The Aston Martin V12 Vantage follows the old GTI recipe of a small car with a powerful engine. Aston Martin has combined two attractive components from its own stable in the V12 Vantage: the chic body of the V8 Vantage and the V12 engine of the DBS. 517 hp from six liters accelerate the fast Brit with the usual sporty-elegant appearance in 4.2 seconds from zero to sixty. Top speed is 190 mph. Since 2013, the V12 has produced an impressive 573 hp and the top speed has risen to 205 mph! At the Paris Motor Show 2014, Aston Martin presented an open version of the sports car. Compared to the coupe, it "only" achieves 200 mph.
Downsizing that is fun: Aston Martin introduces the V8 Vantage in 2005. In addition to DBS and DB9, the V8 Vantage is the "little one" in the Aston Martin family. No twelve cylinder, somewhat less exclusivity and above all a lower price should appeal to customers who otherwise buy sports cars from the German competition. But the V8 Vantage and the open V8 Vantage Roadster with their 426 hp 4.7-liter V8 engines do not have to hide.
